Our homes provide a safe and supportive co-living experience, fostering independence and community in a cozy, alcohol- and drug-free setting. These all-inclusive spaces welcome adults from all walks of life, offering both temporary and long-term housing solutions to ease life’s transitions.

Golden Dwellings is dedicated to providing affordable, secure housing for Newark’s most vulnerable communities, including veterans, seniors, fixed-income earners, housing-insecure adults, and those committed to sobriety.

Payment options include SSI, SSDI, housing vouchers, third-party support, and private arrangements, reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Our Living Spaces
At Golden Dwellings, we offer shared and private rooms that are thoughtfully furnished to meet your needs. Each shared or private room includes:

• A comfortable twin size bed with sheets and comforter
• A dresser for your belongings
• Towel and wash cloth

Our accommodations are designed to ensure you have everything you need to feel at home from day one. Sharing a room with a roommate not only helps reduce living costs but also fosters a sense of community and companionship among residents.

Safety and Community

Your safety is our top priority. Golden Dwellings is equipped with state-of-the-art security systems to ensure a secure living environment. We believe that a safe home is a happy home, and we are dedicated to providing you with peace of mind.

Household sanitation

Our Affordable Living Homes promote independence while encouraging shared responsibility. All residents take part in daily cleaning tasks.

Professional deep cleaning is provided once a month, and a house manager, living in or near the home, helps oversee cleaning, cooking, and the overall well-being of the household.

Rental Fees 

Rent is charged monthly, with rates determined by neighborhood and property maintenance costs. Rent for each bed or room may vary slightly depending on the home. We’re committed to flexibility and will do our best to make accommodations work for our future residents.
